In order to set up the cash balance, a user must already be logged-in to the system. In updating the cash register balance, the users (admin and cashiers) can perform the following:

• View the current cash total

• Set a specific amount inside the cash register

• Add more cash to the existing or current balance

• Subtract cash from the existing or current balance

Tips:

• Most often, it is the shift manager who handles the process of emptying and filling up the cash register (setting, adding, and subtraction of cash).
• When cash transactions such as receiving cash from customers and handing out change to customers are performed by cashiers using the PoS system, the cash register balance will be updated automatically.
