Time slots are set up in order to manage the number of orders that can be made available for a specific time period. This is mostly used for effective management of customers’ orders. Time slots are effective on all channels for delivery, pickup or eat-in orders. See channel specific configurations to enable time slots on a specific channel.
Time slots are set on the weekly schedule. There can be multiple periods within a day.
It is possible to set the following for each time period:
This is the total number of minutes for every slot. For instance, a slot length can be 15 minutes or 30 minutes.
Time before the first slot in minutes.
Time before the end of period to stop time slots in minutes. Use case example: 30 minutes before the end of day.
This is the number of orders available for a slot length. For example, a restaurant can set their slot length to be every 15 minutes from the time they are open. Hence, from 7:00-7:15, the maximum orders the restaurant can accept for delivery/pickup will be for instance 7 orders. Also, from 7:15-7:30, the restaurant can accept another 7 orders.
