Administrators can manage the access given to cashiers by setting up a role and a pin code for each cashier which will be used in accessing the POS system.
Using the Cashier section under merchant, Administrators can see the list of Cashiers that have access to the specific merchant.
Prerequisite:
- Before adding a cashier as a user of the PoS system, the user’s name should already exist in the system under the Administration section. New users can be created using this link for guidance: Users
- By default, a 4 digit pin code can be assigned to cashiers if no configuration has been set under the merchant channel configuration. To make pin-codes have longer digits, configuration needs to be set under the merchant channel configuration before pin codes are assigned.
The following steps will guide administrators in setting up cashier access
- Navigate to the specific merchant.
- Click Cashiers.
- Select Add.

- Select or identify the cashier’s name, use the search field to filter users by names. Note: If a user can not be found, create a new user with the appropriate user details.
- Select Add.

Use the drop-down arrow to select the cashier’s role, either STAFF or MANAGER

Assign a unique Pin Code.

Click Save
